Adventure Travel Guide

Jessica is our resident expert ecotourism expert. Jessica began guiding on the Shenendoah river during high school. She then took a gap year to travel and work abroad before she completed her studies at Duke University in International Conservation and Community Development. During this year she had the opportunity to research ecotourism possibilities in Dagestan, work placing radio collars on jaguars in Mexico, and working with community based conservation in southern Africa. While attending university Jessica guided on the Gauley and New Rivers in WV, and spent her summers on the Lochsa, Snake and the Middle Fork of the Salmon in ID. She also worked as a heli rafting guide on the South Island of New Zealand. This year she spent the winter in South America kayaking in Ecuador, surfing in Peru and rafting in Chile. This spring she is looking forward to managing the Lochsa River and in the summer working on the Grand Canyon and going back to the east coast in the fall for some climbing.
