Scott Owens graduated from the University of North Carolina and is currently enrolled as a medical student at UNC.  An Eagle Scout and outdoors enthusiast since childhood, Scott has been roaming the southern Appalachians his entire life. While his current passions center around climbing, his interests span a broad range of topics covering everything from wilderness navigation to disaster medicine. After medical school, Scott hopes to pursue a residency in emergency medicine and fellowship in international emergency medicine - a passion ever since doing refugee relief work during the war in Lebanon in 2006.
